(More customer reviews)The item for sale here is Polar Lights kit #5025, Original sculpt kit, premiere release, and this box was on the market in 1999. If someone is selling it here new, it is from unsold stock, and very rare. Nice kit, comes with paper instruction, all parts, and ready to be painted. It has some parts that are already chromed. As finished it is 8 1/2" in height. Robby is from the 1956 movie "Forbidden Planet". There is a newer version of this robot in a model kit released recently, but I prefer this classic style look and box and am glad you can still find it at Amazon.

Gort from "The Day the Earth Stood Still" Keychain Review

(More customer reviews)The Gort keychain was smaller than I expected. I thought it was made of some kind of metal, but its made of plastic. I was going to give it as a Christmas present, but it is so lame that I couldn't. It would be ok if I got it at a dollar store, but paying 6.50 + 6.00 for shipping is just way too much.

The Gort Robot Keychain measures approximately 2.5â? with fixed-posed Gort figure attached. Gort represented a superior interstellar police force obliged to address primitive and hostile planets such as Earth. In the Day the Earth Stood Still, Gort was represented by the humanoid emissary Klaatu. Klaatu attempted to convey the veracity of his mission, but when he was turned upon and wounded, he struggled to return to his vessel in order to impart the phrase â??Klaatu barada nikto!â? before Gort routinely annihilated the Earth.

Large Space Trooper Robot Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased this for an adult friend who collects robots. Perfect for them, bad for kids. I allowed the kids to look at it and it almost fell apart! While the winding mechanism does work, the rolling is rather bumpy and I could just tell it wouldn't last long. Looks Great.
