(More customer reviews)Omega Supreme is a large Guardian robot on the Autobot's side- he is fun and a bit more like a puzzle than a true transformer because you put parts together to form the Robot and take parts apart to create a rocket launching base. He is fun because you can put batteries in the tank and it will ride the tracks like a train set. It takes a little more patience to transform him but it is worth it because he is fun to use-and all parts including the tracks are cleverly engineered to put him together and all parts are also cleverly engineered to create a working rocket launching base. Omega Supreme is a great part of any Transformers collection.

(More customer reviews)They are the same great toys the original where back in the '80s, I'm sure there are slight differences from the originals (due to new safety laws and similar reaons), but after so many years I can't really tell.
They are great toys for those who loved them back in the '80s, for those who became fans after that and love the originals, and it's also a great gift for a kid today, so they can get into the Transformers universe.

Transformers Japanese Tomy Takara Re-Issue Renewal Encore #12 Metroplex Review

(More customer reviews)I expected this to be much bigger. I guess when your nine this thing is huge...not so much now.
Even so, the figure is pretty impressive once you finish applying the decals (I LOVE decals! [no, seriously]) with details like skyscrapers, a helipad and ramps. Three modes (city, mobile fortress and robot) give very distinct aspects of the character and new ways of posing/displaying it (I hadn't even known about the mobile fortress mode until I read about it in a book a few years ago).
It also comes with a transformable scout car, two missile firing cannons, two non-firing cannons, a tank, and the parts to form a conning tower for the helipad. The four cannons and conning tower also combine to make another robot. That's four figures (counting the tank) for the price of one! I really wish I had had this when I was a kid, even if would be nothing but spare parts now ( as many can attest).
This is definitely worth adding to a collection.

Metroplex to be reissued! If you missed out on the first release of Metroplex, here is another chance - scheduled to arrive in April 2010. Encore: #12 Metroplex features robot mode/attack mode, vehicle mode, and base mode. Metroplex is accompanied by robot units Scamper, Slammer, and Six-Gun, and an array of weaponry and accessories including Anti-Matter Projectors, Ion Pulse Rifles, twin guided missile launchers, particle beam pistol, acetylene pistol, maser cannon, mortar cannon, missiles, and fists. It is unknown whether the Encore: #12 Metroplex will feature plastic tires or rubber tires. Bulky and square-framed, Metroplex interacts well with smaller Autobots. Scamper transforms from a black six-wheeled car into a patrol robot. Slammer is derived from one of Metroplexâ?TMs towers and the mortar cannon. The aptly-named Six-Gun is derived from a portion of one of Metroplexâ?TMs towers, Metroplexâ?TMs anti-matter projectors, ion-pulse rifles, and twin guided missile launchers. Comprising at least a substantial portion of the vast Autobot City facility, Metroplex is generally considered to be the key adversary of the monstrous Decepticon Assault Base Trypticon, and will typically---provided that Metroplex is capable of Transforming into his robot mode at the opportune moment---overwhelm Trypticon in battle. Product wise it's durable and well designed as well as having lots of little detail you wouldn't expect a basic class transformer figure to have. Highly Recommended for your collection!

(More customer reviews)As Devastator, this is a great toy. It's screen accurate and very cool looking! I like that it was done in G1 colors, too. My only gripe is the lack of purple. There IS purple, but not enough. Uncombined, most of the constructicons are pretty bad toys, particularly Mixmaster (the head). However, Scrapper is nice. And I REALLY like Scavenger. I love how they were able to conceal his giant wheels in an excavator mode on a toy in that size. And that they all have individual robot modes and are still able to combine is just awesome. So, if you're a constructicon fan, you should try something else. However, if you're a Devastator fan, this is the best toy you'll ever find.
