Hasbro Star Wars Transformers - Vader Jedi Starfighter Review

just got this new vader transformer...and i have to say im pretty impressed in the look of the sith fighter for darth vader, the details are spot on...even down to the jedi fighters that were shot down stamped on the sides of the cockpit..and the battle ravaged paint job is well done.. this model even includes a vader pilot figure to sit in the cockpit...this fighter looks great displayed on my desk ...and the lightsaber missils are a nice touch and they shoot really far also...
now on to the transformation to robot mode ...well heres where this review gets critical
..the transformation is easy to say the least but when in robot mode its very fragile ...i was afraid i would break this during transforming...the wings are the part that does it..they dont lock in robot mode they just fold back and flop around and dont stay put ...i also collect regular transformers and the constrction on most of those models are more durable when in robot mode(even some of my generation ones are built better)...but other than that if you like star wars this is a good buy just for the sith fighter alone...
if you want a better vader in robot mode..check out the darth vaders tie fighter transformer...that one is more sturdy..

Hasbro Star Wars Transformers Darth Vader/Death Star Review

Hasbro Star Wars Transformers Darth Vader/Death Star
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I agree with all the other reviewers that it's very hard to get it to transform from Darth Vader into the Death Star. I would be stunned if any 6-year-old (my son's age) is able to assemble it having seen somebody else do it, to say nothing of trying to get it from the instructions.
Nevertheless, it's pretty cool once it's in Death Star mode. My son isn't too excited about the Darth Vader mode, but he has been playing with it some as the Death Star. I don't think it's going to keep his attention for too long, though. I'm still marveling at the feat of engineering creating this thing must have been (difficulty of assembly notwithstanding).
While the transformer itself seems very solid, the accessories are not so well constructed. The laser beam and light saber are both very easily bent, and the tie fighters are also pretty soft plastic. As for the arm pieces coming off, I'm not sure that isn't by design (same with the feet, which, at least to me, look like space ships).
For all of you still struggling to put it together, here are some written tips:
* Make sure that his legs are folded all the way up. The trigger for the gun (which is placed between his legs) needs to be activated by pushing his head forward once the Death Star is assembled.
* Make sure to pull the spring-loaded section on his back all the way out. It should click into place. I didn't do this at first and it's impossible to assemble if you don't.
* After the legs are folded up and the bottom cap has been swung into place, start at the back spring-loaded section and snap pieces into place, moving around to the front -- first one side and then the other. Leave the two top sections (the ones with the little doors to reveal Darth's head) for last.
* To get the last two sections in place, look for a little plastic hook on the bottom corners (nearest the back spring-loaded section). For each one, swivel the part so that that hook catches first, then rotate it into place.
Good luck!

This Star Wars toy is definitely more than meets the eye! Teaming up Star Wars and Transformers, Hasbro has created a Darth Vader figure that morphs into the infamous Death Star space station. Recommended for ages five and up, the Star Wars Transformer Deluxe Death Star is a fun new addition to any Star Wars collection. 2-In-1 Toy with Sound Effects When opened up, this amazing 2-in-1 toy instantly becomes Darth Vader--wielding weapons, warriors and the force to do battle against the Rebel Alliance. With some crafty reconstruction, however, this fearsome figure becomes the equally evil, planet-destroying Death Star. As the battle station, the toy features compartments from which TIE fighter aircrafts can fly, and in which miniature figures and Vader's detachable cape can be stored. For fighting on a smaller scale, the toy comes with three fighter planes seven "mini-figs" include and 1-inch tall versions of Darth Vader and three Storm Troopers. A translucent green missile launches from an opening in the Death Star as well as from Darth Vader's gun. Of course, Vader wouldn't be complete without his signature red Lightsaber, which generates realistic Lightsaber sound when placed in his right hand. Another button on the figure's stomach prompts famous Vader lines from the Star Wars movies. Transforms In 25 Steps Stars Wars and Transformers fans alike will enjoy the challenge of reconfiguring the Deluxe Death Star. It takes 25 steps to transform Darth Vader into the Death Star (and vice versa). For the first few times you take these steps, we highly recommend that you use the easy-to-follow visual instructions in the booklet -- otherwise, you might be doing a lot of back-tracking, which can be frustrating. After you've mastered the moves a few times, transforming this vehicle and figure will be a breeze. While Darth Vader's black plastic body is sturdy, the Death Star shell is thinner, lighter and more fragile with many pivoting and rotating pieces. In general, this toy should be treated with more care than most other "boy toys." The Deluxe Death Star is fun for young kids and grown-up kids, but with small parts that could be choking hazard, it should be kept away from children under three years old. What's in the Box 2-in-1 Darth Vader-Death Star, cape, 3 weapons, 3 TIE fighters, 3 miniature figures, and 3 AAA batteries.

Star Wars Basic Figure Pre-Cyborg Grievous Review

Star Wars Basic Figure Pre-Cyborg Grievous
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is one of the more interesting releases in the 30th anniversary series of Star Wars. To be honest, the figure is bad - poor articulation, poor poseability and good-luck trying to get it to stand.
However, because it provides a good reference to the history of Grievous, it is something that would make a fine addition to any collection. At last here's the portable proof destroying that Star Wars critic myth that George Lucas was dumb enough to create a robot that coughs! Now you can scream "HE'S NOT A ROBOT!" and have the evidence to back it up.

Pre-Cyborg General Grievous is armed with a blaster rifle, and is outfitted with a full array of rustic gear including a removable tribal mask. Originating with the planet Kalee and the species Kaleesh, General Grievous (formerly Qymaen jai Sheelal) is a lithe, muscular figure with a leathery reddish-colored hide. Count Dooku was impressed by Grievous? battle savvy and strategic acumen, and for this reason Dooku tried to entice Grievous to lead the Separatist army. Grievous refused, but he later narrowly survived a horrendous shuttle crash. On the planet of Geonosis, Grievous? physical essence was transferred to a cybernetic body---much to Grievous? horror. Eventually Grievous was trained and conditioned into a Jedi-equivalent swordsman; he became the general of the Separatist army and the scourge of the Jedi order.

Lego Storm Trooper Watch Building Toy Time Light Saber Create Design Space Blocks Star Wars Review

My young cousin is obsessed with Star Wars and Legos. The Lego sets themselves are usually a little out of my price range so I was thrilled when I saw this watch. It combines two awesome ideas and is affordable! Makes a great smaller present and lets the recipient have a little choice concerning how they want the watch to look. He was equally as excited about the Storm Trooper figure as he was about the build it yourself watch. I had worried that it would fall apart but it is holding up well and hasn't come apart except when he wants it to!

Star Wars Galactic Hero Playset - At-At Review

Star Wars Galactic Hero Playset - At-At
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Would have given a higher rating if it weren't for the frustrated screams from my five year old when the legs fall off and he can't put them back on. (The legs have numbers on them, so when I pointed that out, it was easier for him to reassemble them himself). Also, don't expect it to really "walk" on it's own. Still, the secret compartments and trap doors are a huge hit. You may want to make sure you have a couple of other Galactic Hero figures around - my son went running to find another action figure since the guy it comes with doesn't fit so well in the driver's seat.

Measuring approximately 2â? tall, the Superhero Squad figures feature a childlike aesthetic and limited articulation. Set in scale with standard Galactic Heroes figures, the AT-AT Playset features electronic lights and sounds, and is accompanied by an AT-AT driver figure. Bearing dimensions sufficient to crush all opposition and thoroughly terrorize all enemies of the Empire, the quadrupedal AT-AT stands 22.5 meters tall. Crewed by a pilot, gunner/copilot, deck officers and a commander, the AT-AT is capable of housing forty or more troops, and as many as five Speeder Bikes and two AT-ST vehicles. Powered by an FW62 compact fusion drive system, the AT-AT is equipped with an MS-1 fire-linked heavy laser cannon, medium repeating blasters, and Durasteel footpads. During the Empireâ?TMs assault on the Rebel Allianceâ?TMs Echo Base on Hoth, lumbering AT-AT Walkers, pitted against the Allianceâ?TMs Snowspeeders, comprised a large portion of the Imperial occupation. Later, Walkers were used to patrol the Empireâ?TMs holdings, in conjunction with Death Star IIâ?TMs shield generator, on the moon of Endor.

Darth Vader as an alarm clock is just plain cool. This over-sized LEGO Darth Vader alarm clock is a good way to wake up. The beep it produces for alarm is annoying, thus you sleep through it, the clock can be posed, just like any other LEGO, and it looks cool on the bed-side table.

My son loves this toy. He likes to pretend he is a terminator. The problem with this toy is that it makes a sound effect when you punch things with it... therefore promoting aggression. I found myself constantly correcting my son on what he could and could not punch!

My 6 yr old recieved this as a gift. He and his father build it within one hour, it was a bit hard to put the pieces together for my husband's fingers - but perfect for little hands.
My son is been playing with it non stop and picking up items. He's mastered the controls within minutes.
This is geared for 8 year olds, I would recommend that age unless an adult is helping...
