(More customer reviews)My 5 year old son wanted a robot after playing with a friends WowWee robot. I picked this one because it looked easy to use and it said it did all kinds of things, one of which was it comes out of it's shell the more you play with it. Here we are less than a month since Christmas and it is barely played with these days. The problem is it just doesn't do much, one of the "games" is mocking its movements with the remote, not exactly a fun game. What this robot does do however is go through batteries, the first 24 hours it went through 4 Cs. While not being played with much these day when it is it is a tough toy. It has fallen down a few stairs and been dropped over and over but it keeps going. Good intro for a kid wanting a robot and the price is much lower than some of the others I have seen but now we have it and I know how little it does I see why the price is so low.

Still works perfect and fur cleans up amazingly well for being totally white! highly recomment to anyone with an animal loving child. (More customer reviews)I purchased this toy knowing full well that it was going to be a poor substitute for a real dog, but also knowing that the little one I was purchasing it for wouldn't care. Our toddler loves puppies and we're not ready for one in our home. So, this fit-the-bill. I read the reviews and saw some video footage of the toy in action and I agree that the buyer should realize that in addition to making whining and barking noises, this puppy makes very loud mechanical noises as well. It's not all that soft and cuddly and the "sensors" to make it work are hard for a little one to manipulate. My husband says, "it sounds like it's sick!" This toy is a mixed bag. It's enjoyed by the littlest one, but made fun of by the bigger ones.

I understand it's a toy for younger children, but it is kind of fragile (dropping it once can really screw with the face mechinisms)[..]. Personaly I woulden't buy this toy online because I had to go to several stores to find a model that didn't look broken or poorly made. If you get a good one though, it's extremely cute and interesting to watch. Besides the robot noises it has the facial expressions of a real lion, right down to the bottom eyelid closing before the top. My friends and I occasionaly find ourselves talking to it as if it were a real cat. So overall it's a really cool toy. But don't bother buying it unless your kid is really into lions or robots in general, or you have a lot of money to throw around.

(More customer reviews)This new Wow Wee Robot is the 1st attempt by Wow Wee to use voice command that works about 60% of the time but the "Finger" switches work good for the things Joebot can do . Joebot is made to walk on hard surfaces and really doesn't move well on carpets . This robot reminds me of my Rex The Dawg from Wow Wee. I would say that Joebot is worth about $70 tops new and is enjoyable to me an old geek :)

WowWee FemiSapien Humanoid Robot Review

I treat my Femisapien like a real best frend!!! and I LOVE HER.
She has hidden modes. She is a COOL robot, and remember: she is a great
gift for someone special age 8 and up, but not for children under 8
years of age.
My daughter has successfully programmed her Femisapien, so I can't see what would be so difficult about that aspect. As she has noted above, she absolutely adores her, and can't stop telling people about how wonderful she is.
Insofar as durability is concerned, I have seen her fall backwards with no damage, even onto a hard floor. To ward against scratches, some spray wax does wonders. Be prepared for some battery changes, as she will consume quite a bit of power, but even these aren't too terrible.
Overall, I've found this to be a good investment for my "toy" dollars, and would recommend her to anyone with a robot-minded daughter (like mine).

WowWee Tribot Talking Companion Review

(More customer reviews)Of all the WowWee robots, I think Tribot is more fun than the Robosapien and far, far beyond WowWee Robotics RoboPanda. After being disappointed by Robopanda, we were really excited to see how Tribot would build off that failure.
Tribot does not look as human as WowWee Robosapien with Mini Robo - Silver, but it moves better, quicker, and more efficiently. The three-wheel configuration works great!! The biggest innovation is the tilt-sensitive remote control combined with a very intuitive remote which makes it much simpler to operate than Robosapien.
Like the RoboPanda, the sarcastic dialogue might get tiresome, but its not as immediately annoying. Still, there is something familiar and friendly with Robosapien's grunts. I wish Tribot had two modes to allow users to choose coherent or incoherent dialogue!! Uh-huh!!
