(More customer reviews)i bought two of these voice changers for my 4 year old niece (so she could drive my sister crazy) last week. before giving them to my niece my husband and i took them for a test drive. i laughed so hard i cried. everything you say in a robot voice is funny. the actual robot voice setting doesn't really sound like a robot but the high pitch voice setting does. my dad and my 10 year old sister came over the other day and used them and they made me crazy with these things. if you buy them for your kids make sure they play with them far away from you. i already miss having them and i plan on buying two more for me and my husband.

(More customer reviews)The voice transformer is great fun for kids in their youngetr years. It has several different voices and you can combine the effects, to some degree to make about up to ten different voices. The instructions for voices on the back of the package was a little off, but it's not hard to figure out at all, a kid could figure it out all on his own in a manner of minutes. The mic not being attached to the rest of the toy is a nice design, but if you have a child that like to pull on stuff or twist it a lot this may not be for you. If your looking for something that will have a realish voice after it has been "transformed" this one is not for you.

(More customer reviews)I don't know why other reviewers say this toy doesn't work, because it does! I bought 2 of them for Christmas, and both of them worked just fine. You can test it while still in the packaging (which I did), so it obviously had some sort of battery in it already, and we were playing with it right out of the package. And as long as you keep your mouth close to the microphone area when talking, and hold the "trigger" the entire time, the changed voice is by far louder than your normal voice. You can change the settings to lots of different combinations to get different voices. My six year old nephew had a blast with this, but the funny thing is, the adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids! It has one deep, Darth Vader-type voice, so of course all the adults wanted to say "Luke, I am your father!" into it, LOL. The six year old was walking around telling everyone to "Take me to your leader." in a robotic voice. It will also do high-pitched voices, and many other combos. Great fun for everyone!
