(More customer reviews)Part of the point to Arduino (at least in my humble opinion) is how cheap it is, so it might be a bit hard to cough up the additional money for this full kit; however, if you want everything you need to get up to speed fast, this kit is great.
I am fairly technical and have done electronic projects in the past and now I'd like to integrate a micro-controller into some projects so I want to learn, quickly, how they work so I can move on to actually implementing a project I need.
I found this kit had everything I needed to learn the basics. I had my first 'sketch' up and running in 30 minutes from opening the box. If only everything were so easy.

Arduino Professional Kit Review

(More customer reviews)This kit is a good deal for both the seller and the buyer. There are cheaper kits, but this one has absolutely everything. Aside from jumpers, LEDs and resistors there are motors, sensors, servos, semiconductors etc. The included book has 14 circuits.
My only complaint is the Uno I received had a surface mount chip. I'd have preferred a socketed one but apparently
at the "pro" level we don't fry processors unless maybe it's for the art. Ironically though, we do need overlay cards for the breadboard. ^-^
TL;DR If you have $100 and don't want to fart around buying bits and pieces, go for it.
