(More customer reviews)Doesn't matter how many clones of a mold you know they'll inevitably make, I LOVE the Seekers. Loosely modeled on the Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter jet, Thrust has his classic colors of maroon, black and silver. The circular Decepticon symbols on the wings seem to reference his G1 toy's VTOL fans. Interestingly for a deluxe he has working landing gear wheels and doesn't suffer too badly from robot junk poking out from under the jet form like many other aerial bots.
The transformation is clever but a bit tricky when it comes to flipping the wings and nose cone so smaller children might have to be supervised through a few practice runs before the get it down. Also the cock pit over his head and the hook that clips in the tail/wings to his back can sometimes be a bit finicky. He doesn't change scale all that much, no sliding/extending/unfolding limbs so he seems a bit on the small side next to other deluxes (not to mention his jet mode next to the car robots).
The robot form is aces. Thrust's got a lot of character for a smaller sized aerial bot. Highly posable and stands up sturdy, although his mech alive gimmicks of the rotating gun and camshafts in his upper arms are a bit underwhelming. And toes! The dude's got toes. Only 8 of 'em but still, TOES! His head sculpt pays tribute to the G1 Thrust's conehead with the helmeted look and vents on sides. The eyes are light piped in the same purple of the jet's canopy.
Thrust is a great little figure. Totally worth the 10-15 he seems to go for. If you're lookin' for a great jet transformer he's one of the better ones out there, but his mold was also used to make Autobot Breakaway. So I'd compare the two before you buy. TOES!
And remember parents: If you don't like challenging your children, BUY AGE APPROPRIATE.
