(More customer reviews)General Grievous is the leader of Count Dooku's Seperatist Army, and was personally trained by Dooku in the art of lightsaber combat. Marketing wise, Grievous made his debut in the Cartoon Network Clone Wars series, and fills the role of uber-cool disposable villain that was previously held by Darth Maul and Jango Fett. Definitely a stunning character design, every collector, parent, and scalper is going to be after this guy. Grab him if you see him, you'll definitely want to add him to your Star Wars collection.
Grievous comes with a very good paint job, and a nice lightsaber slashing attack that, as others have mentioned, is fun without hurting the figure's overall posability. However, I do have a nitpick in that Grievous isn't quite as dynamic and posable as one would expect him to be. He looks great in the packaging, but once you take him out he's kinda stiff. In the Clone Wars cartoon he was jumping and flipping and doing all kinds of weird tricks with his body, which you really can't do here. The joints in his arms are a bendable rubber and not real articulation, which is slightly disappointing.
Still, overall Grievous is an authentic toy with a very good sculpt, and after the movie opens demand for this guy will probably skyrocket. Purchase on sight.
