Optimus has given up his Aubot Symbols with the 4 symbols of the Cyber (Planet) Keys and changing his classic Red and Blue for a much darker red and Black with a hint of silver and some gold to give him an "Updated" look.
All his transformation and abilities remain the same, and all his special powerlinx abilities remain as the previous mold. So he can be linked to Leobreaker and WingSaber.

(More customer reviews)I love how most of the reviews on this guy are from people who say, "I'll save my money for (insert whatever they think is better)". They never bought it; they never gave it a chance. I bought this toy as soon as I saw it in the store and I never regretted it.
This Prime is very poseable, has lots of action features and loads of play value. Well worth the money. If you are a parent of a TF loving child, he/she will love E-Optimus. He's even backwards compatible with the Armada Minicons. Also, now that the show has debuted on Cartoon Network, kids are sure to want him (it has revived my nephew's long waning interest in Transformers).
If you are a TF collector (like myself), the toy does look strange for a Prime. His proportions are off for what fans are used to, but that is not a big deal once you lay your hands on him. And as for the "HUR HUR, Fatimus looks like a Power Ranger Zord" comments, there have been combiner bots around since way before Power Rangers, and none of them are as cool as Energon Prime.
So, go out and get this guy.
Kids will get a kick out of the versatility of E-Prime. He's a very solid, well-designed toy that will give them hours upon hours of play.
If you are a collector, give him a try. The worst thing that could happen is that like many a discerning Transfan, you end up actually *gasp* liking him. :)

Transformers Generation 2 Hero Optimus Prime Review

(More customer reviews)OK, at first glance G2 Hero Optimus Prime may not look all that prime-ie (Is that a word?) The white cab with rainbow hood just don't scream Prime the way other versions of the Boss Bot do. But transformed into robot form he is every bit the Optimus you know and love plus, white legs aside, he even resembles the rebuilt Prime found at the end of the G2 comic book series. Also, he is incredibly well armed for a figure this size with an air powered missle launcher that can easily knock over smaller Decepticons (sounds kinda bullyish, now that I think of it)and a smaller non firing hand held gun. A great addition to any Transformer collection, if you can find one at a good price...

Transformers Animated The Battle Begins - Optimus Prime vs. Megatron Review

1. Great looking Megatron that is obviously Megatron. (Too many incarnations of the Decipticon leader could have been anyone, but just named "Megatron".) The grey and black coloring and, of course, the arm cannon make it clear who this guy is. Really like the spaceship mode as well. Much better than the movie version.
2. Very nice Optimus that, gratefully, has the head with the face plate, not the mouth, (Optimus should not have a mouth!) unlike the other $10 version of Prime.
3. Very reasonable price that keeps me from having to spend twice as much to get the similar, larger versions of each.
4. Comes with a intro to the new series, which allowed me to preview the animated series to see if it would be worth buying.
The only drawback, in my opinion, is the "battle damage" paint patterns on both. Could have done without that.

Transformers Movie Hasbro Leader Action Figure Premium Optimus Prime Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a fan of transformers ever since I was little, and was amazed at the movie when it came out, well after I seen this figure of optimus on here I decided to get it and I'm glad I did. The truck mode is very well detailed, with small bits of metallic looking paint used on the grill, I also like the flame design. There's a small button on top of the cab that makes the horn sound and the windows on the cab light up. It is a little difficult to transform, but its not so bad once you do it a few times.
Robot mode is where this thing shines, IMO. It's pretty much almost an exact replica of prime from the movie. This figure is exactly the same as the regular movie leader prime save for a few differences. One notable difference is the head is changed to look more like the movie version, and his weapon is no longer the blaster, but the sword he uses in the movie. Both are pluses to me. Overall I think this is a figure that both Transformers fans young and old will enjoy, and I would definitely recommend ordering from here, the service is great and it even arrived a day earlier than expected!

Transformers Movie 2 Optimus Prime Role Play Helmet Review

(More customer reviews)I don't know who likes it more, my daughter who runs around the house pretending to be a transformer, or my husband who gets endless entertainment from saying absurd things with it. Both of them entertain me with it.
Whether it's my daughter saying "Autobots, Transform!" or my husband using cliche pick-up lines with it, it's always got us giggling. My husband even bought this for one of the other submarine officers who had a hard time with the crew taking him seriously because of his timid voice. See, it even has military applications. :)
I love this toy. We have had it for a year now and it's still intact, even with all the abuse it takes.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my son's 7th b-day. He was very excited about it, but the first time he played with it, a piece fell off. We still can't get it back on. This didn't stop him from playing with it though. He still loves it anyway. Overall a great toy but I wish I hadn't payed 30 bucks for it. I would be happier had I only payed 15-20 bucks.

Transformers Alternators - Corvette Z06 (Swerve) Review

(More customer reviews)Swerve is the 15th Figure in this line. Hasbro also added a great accesory, and a first for the Alt line, that accessory being the Flame Sticker that originally came with Takara's Binaltech Tracks, which was missing from our Alt Tracks.
I had the choice of either placing it on Tracks, Battle Ravage, or Swerve... I went with nostalgia and placed in on Tracks. Really give the toy a much better depth, and makes his vehicle mode stand out that much more.
Going back to Swerve, he is the third remold of this mold, and is really fantastic. Granted his namesake is a much more obsure character, Swerve head mold is very well design, and the mold itself is personally one of my favorites.
Swerve is a must buy for any Alternator/Binaltech Fan, and for the Average consumer. If your looking to get into this line, Swerve is a great starting point. Not only is his Transformation unique, but his Robot mode is rock solid.
Good job Hasbro!

Transformers Generations Level:4 Optimus Prime Review

(More customer reviews)First off, he's not from the Movie toy line. He's from the Generations line (War for Cybertron subcategory), a new line coming out this year. Below are the pros and cons for this figure.
-Pros
- Extremely durable, he won't break easily. (Some have reported breakage problems, but I haven't experienced any such problems. After numerous transformations and poses I haven't had a single problem.)
- As with Bumblebee, his Robot mode is very accurate to his in game counterpart.
- Minimal kibble (excess hanging off his back)
- Gun can change from his Ion Blaster (rifle) to a cannon that can be set on the back of his car for storage and vehicle display.
- Vehicle mode rolls well, and stays together well. A sturdy alt mode, similar in look to his War Within design.
-Cons
- First few transformations are a bit daunting.
- More complicated than Bumblebee, but nowhere near as tough as the ROTF line.
- Kids will have a hard time with him, I'd recommend this for collectors.
Well, that's my take on the figure. He's highly durable, accurate, and just a great figure. However his transformation difficulty may make it a better choice to keep it as a collectors item than giving it to a child. I can't recommend him enough, he's truly a fantastic figure. Hope this helps someone out.

Playskool Mr. Potato Head Opti-Mash Prime Review

(More customer reviews)This was the first Mr. Potato Head that I've ever had. I bought it for my 1.5 year old.
I should have saved this for my cubicle. It looks really cute and it'd be something fun to display.
But I was a bit disappointed for a younger kid's toy, maybe since I never had one. The parts that you plug into the Potato Head body are made of a slightly bendable PVC, so they are fairly difficult to plug in. I'm not even sure when my kid reaches the recommended 2+ age he would be able to plug the parts completely in himself.
For those of you admiring the little truck: it doesn't roll. That was a pretty big letdown for me. Also, the chest piece does not form the front of the truck. The truck is a single piece that doesn't connect to anything. It's entirely for show.

(More customer reviews)If you have the normal or premium Barricade don't get this guy. He is a decent mold with a really nice car form and a pretty tough looking robot mode. However, his paint job is just blah. He is meant as a security officer's car and the gray on him mixed with a light blue just says "I have no character at all". He is just plain dull. go for the other versions of this guy because I am about to fall asleep just from reviewing him.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

Hasbro Transformers Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet Review

(More customer reviews)Here's an embarrassing thing- I love this helmet. And I'm in my 40's. I first saw it in a video on YouTube (MarkDayComedy) and was smitten. It actually fits the adult head, and is very adjustable with lots of straps inside the helmet. You have to get it positioned correctly, or the nose pad will sit very heavily on the bridge of your nose- which is not comfortable! But fidget around with the straps, and it will fit anyone.
The eye sockets are golden in hue, and while you can see fine to stalk around the house, I certainly wouldn't recommend driving in it!
The supplied voices are very clear. The helmet comes with well known Transformers phrases- "I AM OPTIMUS PRIME!"- and the microphone is adjustable so you can speak in to it and have your own robot voice boom out nicely. If someone is standing next to you, they can hear your voice as well, but that's a minor point.
The battery casing is on top of the head, and covered by a snap on piece that I fear will break eventually, but what do you want for a little over 20 bucks? Small children will probably break the pointy bits off the top of the helmet first, but older children (10? depends on your kid) should be able to keep it in one piece. (UPDATE- HOLY COW??!! THIS IS SELLING FOR NEAR EIGHTY DOLLARS?!?!?! NOOOOOOO!!!! Look around for a better price! Wooo...)
And if you don't have any makeup on and the postman or UPS guy comes to the door, you can always pop the helmet on and scare the heck out of him :)
