(More customer reviews)We bought this toy for under $4 at the Lego store. It is a fine little Lego set, easy to put together. When you fly it around, the wings drop off a lot but of course they are easy to put back. My 3 year-old son loves it. When I saw the price Amazon was asking for this (over $14 as of this writing) I just had to warn people not to spend that kind of money on it. Amazon offers many Legos at good prices, but this isn't one of them.

(More customer reviews)Coming from a second generation LEGOS family I must say that this Mars Mission set keeps up the tradition of good quality pieces. What I like about this set is that it has a good variety of pieces that don't just make a cool ship and walker but also make a great addition to a small collection of old and new LEGOS. What I am saying, is that this set has such good pieces that my 6-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter both have already abandoned the instruction so that they can make their own designs. The only flaw in this LEGO set is that rather than screen-printing most of the graphics, the set came with stickers. Well the stickers haven't lasted very long, and some LEGOS we have had for 15 years still have the screen-printed graphics good-as-new. If this set looks good to you or is a gift idea, you will likely be happy.

(More customer reviews)My ten year old son got this for Christmas, and finally assembled it during spring break. He was not very excited by the picture on the box, but I encouraged him to put it together and now it is his favorite ship ever. It's almost organic looking, with parts that move in an insectozoid (sp) fashion. The set also comes with cool green aliens, and a small space station that shoots missiles, and my son has been playing with it nonstop.
I am thoroughly impressed by this ship myself. The green tendril things make it look positively creepy, in a way that my kids just love. We have several Lego spaceships/shuttlecrafts and this is, in my opinion, the best.
Even the most jaded lego spaceship lover is bound to be wowed by this wonderful Mars Mission Alien Mothership.

Lego Mars Mission Exclusive Mini Figure Set #5616 Mini Robot Review

(More customer reviews)This is such a cute addition to this set! The astronaut with the robot helps to mine the energy crystals needed back on earth (guess we finally DID run out of gas!). The robot hides the crystals in his chest from the aliens and is super cute. He's very well loved in this house. You need two sets of this one if you're going to make a dent on Mars' surface. If you're scared away by the price on this guy, you can get him at the giant toystore with an r in the name (not online) for four dollars. Great, great toy, glad they came up with this series. Boys love space travel and this set really provides a different element. Highly, highly recommend!
