(More customer reviews)Gort stands exactly five inches tall. His surface is flawless, free of pits and extraneous lines. He has fine detail and weighs exactly 8 oz. The only problem I notice is his falling over often. He needs a wider base to stand in. Other than that I plan to keep him on my desk.

He was the first intergalactic policeman. Gort, Master of the Guardians, appeared in the 1951 science fiction epic The Day the Earth Stood Still. The first robotic representation of alien technology to be displayed on screen, Gort was the prototype for the strange machines seen in movies today. This 5-inch figure of him is made of heavy metal and comes packaged in a collectible box featuring original artwork by George J. Eisner. 'Klaatu barada nikto.'
