(More customer reviews)I purchased this gear set for my 10 yo son for Christmas. He has been building with Legos, Erector sets, and such for many years and has wanted a gear set for 3 years. I was happy to find one I felt suitable for an older child. He has spent many happy hours building creations either independently or with his father. The directions, for the most part, are easy enough for a 10 yo to follow. The motor adds just bumps up the interest factor for him. This product is definitely NOT suitable for children under the age of 8. The pieces are small and take a certain dexterity to build with but it is perfect for boys through adult.
